Ape Man, Wildman of the Woods, Bardin Booger, Sasquatch, and finally: Bigfoot.
This beast has had many names, and its “presence” has been noted in countless cultures and civilizations around the world. However, Bigfoot’s influence didn’t come through the United States until the 1950s. A Humboldt Times article was published making fun of a letter about the beast. The public, however, was fascinated, and the newspaper began to publish more articles about the Sasquatch.
Soon this guy was in everything. He appeared in movies, books, and even ads. A pile of “evidence” found its way through the media as well. Footprints, claw marks, strange sounds in the night, and even bad stenches have been the leading proof of Bigfoot’s existence. Many videos have surfaced too, with some being completely staged, while others aren’t so clear. For example, one video was studied by scientists, and it was concluded that the movement of the muscles when the Sasquatch walked was too precise to be faked. As of right now, Bigfoot doesn’t have any straight-up proof that can confirm his existence. But who knows? You never know what you might stumble on in those woods at night.
