Is it true that Lincoln has nothing to do besides watch football games on Saturdays?
Not true at all! There’s so much more to Lincoln than just football. While football is our most popular sport, Nebraska volleyball is without question our best sport. With a perfect record of 8-0 and consistently being ranked best in the nation there’s no doubt that volleyball is a sense of great pride for all Lincolnites and Nebraskans who love sports.
Why would anyone want to live in Lincoln?
Lincoln is undoubtedly the best place to live in Nebraska for many reasons, but the one that jumps out to me is a closer sense of community. While Omaha has 67% more people than Lincoln, our capital city has what seems to be 67% more community. Just like Mount Michael, smaller numbers contribute to a closer sense of community and trust, forming a closer bond between fellow residents.
Is it true that Omaha Dairy Queens are worse than Lincoln DQs?
This is without a question a true statement! The Dairy Queens in Lincoln are some of the best in the country! The most prominent DQ in Lincoln, the South Street Dairy Queen, is rooted in tradition and has been the place of employment of many Lincolnites and even some Mount Michael alumini over the years. Being the one “Treat Only” location in Nebraska, they are constantly committed to serving the best ice cream possible no matter the circumstance.
Did anyone important come from Lincoln or is it more of a ghost town?
Everyone important comes from Lincoln! The Mount’s very own Mr. Nick Beau grew up and graduated from high school in Lincoln! Beau is just starting his fourth year at Mount Michael and he has already established his name as a powerhouse teacher. Since starting he has taught seven classes including Civics and Economics. In his free time, he leads the investment club year after year. Mr. Beau’s hard work and constant dedication is a hallmark of a true Lincolnite and is a perfect example of a figure of importance in Lincoln.
Everyone tells me that Lincoln’s a poorly run city. Is that true?
That couldn’t be further from the truth. According to WalletHub Best Run Cities, Lincoln, Nebraska is number eight on the list. Not only did Lincoln perform well in the “Best Run Cities” category, but they also placed third in the “Financial Stability” category. I’m not surprised in the slightest. It’s what we do. We Lincolnites stand on business.
