Joseph Johansen

Colorado is known for its mountainous terrain and all the activities that are available to do. Joseph Johansen ‘20 visited Colorado this summer and spent time with fellow classmate Maxwell Berens ‘20. Together, they went to Vail and rode mountain bikes. Later in the summer, Johansen and Clifford Roepke ‘20 went to visit the Colorado School of Mines.

“One of my favorite parts was going to Denver,” Johansen said. “We got to hang out, shop, and eat out. It was really fun seeing my friends over summer.”

Sean Stumpff

Over the summer, Sean Stumpff ‘20 traveled to Italy and visited some famous landmarks with his family. During his trip, he visited St. Peter’s Basilica, the Colosseum, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

“My favorite spot would have to be the Amalfi Coast,” Stumpff said. “It had a really beautiful view of the ocean and it was cool being right on the side of the mountain.”

Marc Fayad

For Marc Fayad ‘22, visiting the places that Jesus walked has become an annual trip. Fayad visited Lebanon with his family this summer. He did various things, including visiting his extended family. The Fayads usually go to Lebanon over the summer every year. Most often, they spend time with their family in the mountain village Dahr-el Souane near the center of Lebanon. They toured south Lebanon, where Jesus was seen blessing and teaching people. The Fayad family also went to Nephin, an ancient Crusader castle in Anfeh.

“My favorite part was Baalbek,” Fayad said. “It is a Unesco World Heritage Site and it was really fun going with my family.”
